Founded by former Phoenix forward David Ball, DB Football has become a trusted development programme for under-14 players in the Wellington region. With expert coaching and a player-first philosophy, DB Football equips young athletes with the skills, mindset, and confidence needed to take the next step in their footballing journey.

Founded in 2023 by David Ball, DB Football plays an important role in Wellington’s youth development landscape, offering a top-tier, personalised, and high-performing programme for players under 14.
With over 15 years of experience in the professional game, David identified the need for a coaching environment that balances challenge with enjoyment. DB Football delivers exactly that, with skilled coaches running dynamic, specialised sessions that help young players grow in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
Their programmes include 1:1 coaching, small group training, team sessions, school-based programmes, and holiday camps, delivered at the New Zealand Campus of Innovation & Sport (NZCIS) in Upper Hutt and Toitu Poneke Hub in Kilbirnie.
DB Football fosters a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where players of all levels can develop their skills, build confidence, and fall in love with the game.
