Meet Russel Fielding, our Business Director at the Wellington Phoenix Academy! Russel brings a unique mix of experience from various industries, including legal, finance, travel, and sports. He’s known for his knack for handling complex projects and thriving in dynamic environments. 

Russel’s journey has taken him to the UK, where he worked as a programme director and consultant in the travel, events, and sports sectors, and he founded the UK Sport Club, an events management and sports consulting business.

Clients included Lost Rivers, Stoke Travel, KAM Sports, Barbarians, Premiership Rugby, Australian Football, Rugby Football Union (RFU), Wasps RFC, Harlequins, O2, IMS, Teaching Personnel, Air New Zealand, Emirates, Fosters International, Little Creatures (Lion Nathan), and Sky. After moving back to New Zealand, Russel took on roles in the corporate banking sector with ASB and Westpac. Russel started with the Wellington Phoenix in March 2024.
