Nick Stanton, the Head of Academy Goalkeeping and A-League Women’s Goalkeeper Coach at Wellington Phoenix FC, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for developing goalkeepers. Originally from Marlborough, Nick has dedicated the past 5 years to coaching in Wellington, progressively taking on significant roles in goalkeeper coaching.

His journey includes pivotal positions at North Wellington, Capital Football, and the Olé Football Academy, where he honed his coaching skills and contributed to the development of aspiring goalkeepers. Transitioning into his first professional season coaching in the Women’s A-League, Nick aims to enhance and support the goalkeeping talent within Wellington Phoenix FC.

Nick’s role spans all academy goalkeepers, currently focusing on coaching the Women’s/Girls and U19/U18 boys’ squads. His commitment to nurturing talent, and his diverse coaching background makes him a valuable asset in shaping the future of goalkeeping at the club.
