Meet Luke Tongue, the Head of Pre-Academy and U15s Head Coach at the Wellington Phoenix Academy. Luke has a rich history with the Academy, having played there from 2014 to 2018. Now, he brings his experience and passion back to the Academy in a coaching capacity.

Luke’s journey in sports coaching is backed by a solid academic foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Management from the University of Canterbury. This qualification equips him with a comprehensive understanding of both the practical and administrative aspects of sports coaching. Luke has returned to the Academy to help players coming through the Academy become the best version of themselves on and off the pitch.
