Meet Chris Greenacre, the Men’s Reserve team Head coach at the Wellington Phoenix.

After 18 years as a professional player, predominantly in the U.K., Chris retired after three years of playing for the Wellington Phoenix first team. He immediately joined the first team’s backroom staff as an assistant coach. Having worked in the first-team environment, he gained valuable experience as the interim head coach on three occasions and has recently been appointed the U20’s Men’s National Team Head Coach. 

Chris’s full-time role within the Academy is Men’s Reserve Team Head Coach. His primary role is to prepare the next generation for first-team football. Chris has worked with a number of players who have progressed to the first team, full national team honours, and Europe. He is currently one of the very few coaches to hold the accredited Pro License Diploma.
