Meet Brad Bicknell, our Head of Player Pathways and U18 Head Coach at the Wellington Phoenix Academy! Brad is a passionate and dedicated coach who values care, enjoyment, fairness, and purpose. With a wealth of experience, having previously worked as the Director of Football at Auckland United, Brad excels in managing developmental pathways for young players.

Brad is committed to building strong relationships, maintaining clear communication, and coaching effectively. He leverages evidence-based methods and an objective starting point to positively impact player behavior and development. Since joining the Wellington Phoenix in January 2024, Brad has been enjoying his time in the capital, bringing his expertise and enthusiasm to the team

Brad has his OFC B Licence and is currently working towards his A Licence.  Brad also has his OFC GK C Licence and NZF Junior Level 3.
