Wellington Phoenix Goalkeeper Camp
Introducing our brand-new goalkeeper camp
Give your young keeper a taste of the professional pathway with our intensive two-day goalkeeping camp, led by Head of Academy Goalkeeping, Ed Harding. This January, give your goalkeeper the chance to train the Phoenix way.
Running Tuesday 20 January and Wednesday 21 January, 9:00am–12:00pm, this camp is open to goalkeepers born between 2010 and 2015.
Across two high-performance mornings, keepers will sharpen their technique, reactions, decision-making, and confidence using the same methods that helped develop Alex Paulsen, Alby Kelly-Heald, and Henry Gray in the Wellington Phoenix Academy.
The camp fee is $225, with multi-child discounts available (10% off for two children, 15% off for three or more).
What can players expect from this camp?
Position-Specific Training
Sessions tailored exclusively for goalkeepers including footwork, handling, positioning, distribution, and 1v1 scenarios.
High-Performance Coaching
Direct coaching and feedback from Head of Academy Goalkeeping Ed Harding, using the same methods applied in our professional pathway.
Reaction & Decision-Making Work
Fast-paced drills to sharpen reflexes, speed up reading of play, and build confidence in high-pressure moments.
Shot-Stopping Mastery
Technical reps focusing on diving technique, parry choices, angles, and recovery movements.
Crosses, Aerials & Commanding the Box
Work on timing, bravery, communication, and effective claiming under pressure.
Distribution & Modern GK Play
Sessions on passing, receiving, playing under pressure, and starting attacks.
Physical & Mental Conditioning
Understanding the mindset, resilience, and habits required to thrive in high-performance environments.
Insight Into the Professional Pathway
An authentic look at the expectations, standards, and training environment behind the development of keepers like Alex Paulsen, Alby Kelly-Heald, and Henry Gray.
Multi-child discount available
Save 10% when registering two children, or 15% for three or more siblings or teammates.
Please email camps@wellingtonphoenix.com before registering to receive your discount code. Each child must be registered individually, and discounts cannot be applied after registration has been completed. If enrolling multiple children, a separate form is required for each child.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- A 100% refund is available if you cancel at least 7 days before the camp start date.
- No full or partial refunds will be provided if the cancellation occurs within 7 days of the camp or during the camp itself.
- In the case of extenuating circumstances, please contact us to discuss the possibility of a credit for a future camp.
- Please note: Multi-child discounts must be requested before registering. If you fail to email us in advance, the discount will not apply and no refund will be issued.
