Accommodation Options

At the Wellington Phoenix Academy, we welcome players from outside Wellington to join us each season. Our players can choose from a variety of accommodation options that best suit their preferences and individual circumstances. Whether it’s homestay, boarding, or flatting, we have choices to meet each player’s needs.

The diversity of options allows players to find the right living arrangement that complements their lifestyle and supports their commitment to their football journey at the Academy.

Wellington Homestay

Wellington Homestay is dedicated to offering safe, welcoming, and supportive homestay experiences for students and visitors. Wellington Homestay carefully select host families who provide a nurturing environment where guests can feel at home while they pursue their academic and personal goals.

School Boarding

We work in partnership with Queen Margaret College and St Patrick’s College Silverstream who both offer boarding options. This provides a structured and supervised environment that balances both academic and athletic commitments.

Flatting (Age-Dependent)

For older, more independent players, we recommend flatting options. This allows players to live more autonomously while still receiving support from the academy.

Exciting New Opportunity in 2025

In 2025, Wellington Phoenix Academy, in partnership with Griffin Lodge at NZCIS (New Zealand Campus of Innovation & Sport), will offer promising footballers from across New Zealand the opportunity to board at the world-class NZCIS campus. This provides an exceptional environment for both training and living.
